75th Annual Music Festival

OPPORTUNITY: In January 2017, Thad Driskell, Chair of the Iowa All-State Band and the 75th Anniversary Committee, first reached out to bring Fran Kick in for their November 17-20, 2021 Celebration. Thad Driskell and Alan Greiner first sketched out their ideas to create a Young Artist Showcase Concert featuring as many past Iowa All-State musicians as they could connect to be in Ames, Iowa for this statewide celebration.

RESULTS: Fran Kick served as the Master of Ceremonies for the concert providing some opening comments to the audience and emceed all of the performances during the concert. He also served as the Iowa Music Educators Association Conference Opening Keynote Speaker and led a panel discussion educator session with the Iowa Young Artists. In addition, Fran Kick spoke to the 2021 Iowa All-State Orchestra, the Iowa All-State Chorus, and the Iowa All-State Band.
