Privacy Policy

Instruction & Design Concepts

Since we have been KICKin’ IT IN literally since 1986 (and virtually since 1996) our client’s and customer’s satisfaction, security and privacy is extremely important to us. We are very committed to protecting your privacy. We use information collected about you to process orders and to personalize your experience at our web site. This privacy statement explains how we gather information and how we protect your privacy.

The information that we collect

Ordering online: When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status. At times we may refer you to other web sites to purchase products. User activity on those sites is covered by their privacy policies.

Promotions, online surveys and announcements: If you decide to participate in an online survey, subscribe to an e-mail list, enter a contest or use one of our other promotional features, we may ask for your name, address, e-mail address and other pertinent information to administer the contest, tabulate survey results or add you to subscriber lists that you requested.

Referrals: If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, services or products, we may ask for your friend’s name and contact information. We may send your friend an introduction via e-mail or postal mail inviting him or her to visit the site, explore our services or check out our products. We obviously store this information for the sole purpose of sending this introductory communication. Your friend may of course contact us at anytime to request that we remove this information from our database.

Browsing: Like many web sites we occasionally use “cookies” to help us process your order and to customize information that we may present to you. A cookie is a small text file that does not personally identify users, although it does identify a user’s computer. Cookies do not pose a threat to your computer, and they do not contain viruses. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change this feature in your browser. Doing so may limit your ability to shop on our site.

Log files: As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, and date/time stamp. This information, which does not identify individual users, is used to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.

Online and offline, our database is one of the most valuable assets in our business. We guard your information with our lives and treat your information like it is gold. When you place an order, we use a secure server to protect your sensitive information. The secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Your information is used only to process and send orders, bill credit cards and to contact you when necessary.
