How do I get more information about KICK IT IN!
Thank you for your interest in our KICK IT IN programs for high school and junior high/middle school students! Everything from assembly programs to leadership workshops, KICK IT IN has been successful at "turning on the lightbulbs" and giving participants more than just "something to think about."
What is KICK IT IN?
KICK IT IN is a self-motivational personal leadership presentation and interactive experience. The first part or possible version of the program (anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes) is a fast-paced, high energy, entertaining educational presentation that is informative, insightful and inspiringly humorous. This segment of the program can stand by itself as a keynote, lecture, assembly, orientation or KICK off type program. The first part focuses on:
- Paying attention and responding appropriately to life
- The more you put into it, the more you get out of it
- What you put into it, is what you get out of it
- Positively reinforcing yourself & others to make healthy choices
- If you're whining, griping & complaining, having a terrible time - maybe that's why!
- Positive attitude vs. negative attitude, you make the difference
- Getting involved and cooperatively contributing
- The discipline of focus and the power of attention
- Leading by example because you can't lead others until you lead yourself
The second part or possible version of the program (anywhere from 30 minutes to all day) becomes even more interactive and experientially based. These workshop-type sessions have many activities (group, partner, and individual). Students are involved with various activities, experiencing an enthusiastic atmosphere, while learning the importance of their individual participation. It's a chance for the individual person to become more aware of their potential, learn the concepts & tools needed to realize that potential (both as an individual & within a group), and to put the tools into use to create positive action!

When can we KICK IT IN?
The first part of this program works well at any point during the year. There is always great interest early in the semester. Perhaps a KICK off presentation to get everyone moving in the same direction, leadership retreats, new student orientation, assemblies or even as a session for next years' leaders or incoming students.
The KICK IT IN workshop-type sessions are great for an assembly follow up, breakout sessions, class meetings, student councils, captains, club presidents, and student leaders of all kinds. It is also very beneficial for developing new leaders in an organization and "upping" the level of everyone who attends. The entire program has a strong message for anyone! Many variations have been utilized effectively to help everyone KICK IT IN! We especially enjoy customizing and focusing the program to better meet your individual needs.

High School & Junior High/Middle School Quotes
As you'll notice, most of the following material consists of reference and recommendation quotes and letters from other people just like you who have KICKed IT IN! Their words speak volumes as to the benefits of a program such as the one you are considering:

"Picture this: A room full of high school students who are watching intently, listening to every word, on the edge of their seats, their attention glued to the speaker. It certainly is one of my dreams! This is the picture I saw as Fran talked to my students. The image is still fresh in my mind because it was so unbelievable! His program was so wonderful that we are considering having him back to talk to the faculty. Yes, his words are for young and old alike and for any group that I can think of. He speaks about success in life. He speaks about responsibility and commitment. My advice is this: Do whatever you can. Call in every favor. Beg. Borrow. Fund raise. But don't let the opportunity to have Fran Kick do a presentation go by. I promise you that you will find his words most inspiring." |

"You have that rare ability of maintaining your audience's attention for an extended period of time and leaving them begging for more. Students were captivated by your lively, humorous style. Your message comes through loud and clear as you entertain your audience. You are a master at drawing upon the students' past real-life experiences, which is a teaching method that many speakers regretfully do not utilize." |

"Your presentation to our 565 seventh and eighth graders (and their teachers) was extraordinary. I watched in amazement while you pulled them into your ideas. They were hanging on every word, nodding in recognition of your examples, holding their sides with laughter and have been talking about your message ever since. Those of us who work with adolescents feel that special frustration of wanting to get them motivated but sensing that our 'preaching' does not sink in. You talk with them, not at them. Your energy and wit make the concepts real." |

"I want you to know that the positive effects of the work you did with my students are still being felt. Your program was exciting, energetic and full of impact on both student and teacher attitudes. They were able to understand your message because you were able to communicate with them in a way that made them feel important and valuable. I have seen a sense of pride developing within the group. They feel good about themselves and their mission. They are one fired-up group of kids right now and I keep telling them it only gets better from here. KICK IT IN is a fun, exciting, meaningful program that has great potential for affecting positive changes in the world we live in. I honor the work you are doing and wish you continued success." |
