While this video is about the teen brain and how it works, it has application to many stages of life. The lessons of this video actually apply to everyone. Created by What Kids Can Do (WKCD) a national nonprofit that strives to reach the broadest audience possible with two primary messages: (1) the power of what young people can accomplish when given both the opportunity and support they need and (2) what youth can contribute when we take their voices and ideas seriously.
If you were to add a ninth condition for learning, what would it be?
Sharing thoughts and ideas with others as well as getting their feedback and insight are great ways to increase understanding. Just be nice. Criticism is okay so long as you offer something constructive. Please use your real name not just a business/organization name and don't be spammy. Thanks!

9th Condition for Learning: Intrinsically rewarding things are more self-motivating long-term than extrinsically motivating things. The feeling you have "getting something" is way more rewarding than rewarding me with "zesty party mix" — as they say in the video "just a reward suggestion." I'm having trouble with my middle son and your techniques came to mind. I went to your blog and read around some. I envy your abilities. I'm going to keep reading. This teenage brain video was a very simple statement to a very complicated concept. I think I already practice it, but who doesn't need a refresher? Thanks for just being awesome. Your insight is amazing and inspirational.
